Take the commonly used rope wheel type electric glass regulator as an example, it is composed of motor, reducer, wire rope, guide plate and glass mounting bracket and other parts, the door and window glass is fixed on the glass mounting bracket during installation, and the glass guide groove is parallel to the wire rope guide plate. Turn on the motor, drive the reducer to output power by the motor, pull the wire rope to move the glass mounting bracket, and force the door and window glass to make a linear movement of rising or falling.

The guide rope of the plastic belt type electric glass regulator is a plastic belt with holes on the belt, which is used to move and position the plastic belt and control the lifting of the door and window glass.

The key to the structure of the electric glass regulator is the motor and the reducer, which are assembled into one, in which the motor adopts reversible permanent magnet DC motor, and there are two sets of magnetic field coils winding around the motor, and the control of the switch can do forward and reverse, that is to say, the rise or fall of the door and window glass can be controlled.

The motor is controlled by the double switch button, with three working states such as rising, lowering and off, and automatically stopping in the "off" position when the switch is not operated. The control circuit is equipped with a master switch (central control) and a sub-switch, and the two lines are connected in parallel. The main switch is controlled by the driver to open and close the window glass of the whole department, and the sub-switch on the handle in each door is controlled by the occupants respectively to open and close the door and window glass, which is very convenient to operate.

1. The window lifting motor is damaged or the electronic control harness is in poor contact

2. Motor overheating protection

In order to protect the power supply circuit, the general window lifting motor is equipped with an overheating protection mechanism, if the components are overheated for some reason, the motor will enter the overheating protection state, resulting in the failure of the window lifting.

3. The resistance of the glass guide trough is too large

The door glass guide trough is an easily overlooked detail, during use, dust will accumulate in the glass guide trough, making the resistance greater, and the long time may cause the glass to rise hard.

In addition to the above reasons, in fact, the problem of lifting and lowering the window may also be caused by the failure of the relevant components due to the instant virtual connection and power failure, at this time we do not need to go to the 4S shop to repair, here is to share with you the temporary solution that the window cannot rise.

Method: Turn on the ignition switch, hold the switch to rise and hold, continue to wrench for more than 3 seconds after the glass rises to the top, release the switch and immediately press and hold, so that the glass drops to the bottom and wait for more than 3 seconds, repeat the rising action again, the initialization procedure is completed, and the window lifting function is restored.

Power window system

Power window system is composed of windows, window regulators, motors, relays, switches and other devices. Typical power window systems are equipped with two sets of control switches. A set on the dashboard or the driver's side door armrest, is the main switch, which is controlled by the driver to raise and lower each window.

The other set is mounted on each passenger door and is a sub-switch that can be operated by passengers. Generally, the main switch is also equipped with a circuit breaker, and if it is disconnected, the sub-switch will not work. Modern cars increasingly demand comfort and convenience from windows, and power windows have become a common configuration in cars.

Precautions for use

1. Pay attention to the cleaning of the window glass

In order to prevent the inflow of rainwater, the window frames inside the car are rich in rubber bands, which are also places where they often come into contact with glass. After the glass is stained, the friction with the rubber band increases, and the switch will be affected, so the glass needs to be kept clean frequently.

2. Avoid closing the window at the same time

Power window switches consume a lot of power and cause engine sounds to change when driving slowly. For cars with small battery capacity, be careful not to open or close the windows at the same time, so as not to affect the power supply of the battery.

3. Pay attention to foreign objects such as small cards in the gap between the windows

If not handled properly, the card may fall through the window and into the inside of the door. The interior structure of the door is complex, and the card falling into the door can cause a series of chain reactions. For example, the elevator is damaged, the door lock is out of order, the drain is blocked, etc.

4. Clean the lifting groove regularly

Maintaining power windows starts with the window glass. Damage to the window glass will not only affect the beauty of the whole vehicle and the driving vision, but also affect the starting and closing action of the power window. After encountering a sandstorm or driving in a dusty area for a long time, the owner is best to use a vacuum cleaner to clean the notch under the window glass to blow out the sediment that may "take advantage of the void".

If not cleaned up in time, the sand and dust in the glass lifting track continue to accumulate, which will increase the frictional resistance between the window glass and the groove, thereby affecting the normal start and closing of the power window. When the owner opens the power window, it may also make your window glass "break the phase" due to the small stones sandwiched inside, and the lifting groove should be rinsed when washing the car. Spray a little watch wax, petroleum jelly or butter lubrication in the weather.

5. The window should be closed on rainy days

When driving in rainy weather, you should close the windows as much as possible. Driving in rainy weather, if you do not close the window to drive, rainwater will drift into the car from outside the car, which may wet the power window switch and cause it to short-circuit. Or flow into the lifting groove of the power window, causing the connecting rod mechanism to be immersed in water and rust, which will cause the mechanism to break and the glass chute to derail over time.

6. Do not treat the switch as a toy

Car owners who need to carry children frequently, when there are children in the car, do not let them play with the lift switch of the power window as a toy. This will not only cause excessive heating damage to the power window motor, but also cause some power windows with protection mode to lose their effectiveness.

Maintenance of glass regulators

1. Drainage hole

2. Release the switch in time
